Bergamot is a fragrant citrus fruit that is widely used in the perfume industry for its distinct and complex aroma. The most aromatic bergamot is typically considered to be the bergamot fruit that is grown in the coastal region of Calabria, Italy.
Calabrian bergamot is widely regarded as the most high-quality bergamot in the world due to its ideal growing conditions, which include a warm, sunny climate and fertile soil. The essential oil extracted from Calabrian bergamot is highly valued by perfumers for its fresh, sweet, and slightly spicy aroma, which is perfect for creating top notes in fragrances.
Elemi and benzoin (sometimes referred to as benzoe) are both resinous materials commonly used in perfumery.
Elemi is obtained from the resin of the Canarium luzonicum tree, which is native to the Philippines. It has a fresh, balsamic, and slightly citrusy aroma and is often used in fragrances to add a resinous and woody note.
Benzoin resin comes from the Styrax tonkinensis tree, which is found in Southeast Asia. It has a warm, sweet, and vanilla-like aroma and is often used in perfumes to add a soft and powdery note. It is also frequently used in incense and as a fixative in perfumery, helping to prolong the longevity of other fragrance ingredients.
Note: In terms of overall scent profile, Calabrian Bergamot Lime might be perceived as more refreshing and green, while Persian Lime & Lemongrass could be seen as warmer and sweeter.
In a candle, the lime and bergamot top notes blend perfectly with the mid notes of lemon peel and green leaves to create a bright and uplifting scent.
The warm and sensual base notes of elemi and benzoe provide a cozy and comforting feel to the fragrance.

It may not be necessary to use the maximum FO (fragrance oil) load in your goods. For wax products, we suggest you commence testing at 6% and increase the fragrance load up to the maximum IFRA fragrance usage for your corresponding finished product as detailed in each product
All fragrances are 100% concentrated, we suggest that you test our fragrances in finished products before you make any conclusions.
Other testing notes should never take the place of your own personal testing.
Always test fragrance in all applications. We do not take responsibility for our test results differing from your test results. Eco Candle Project is not responsible for any finished products made with our raw ingredients.
We advise you not to smell the fragrance oil directly from the bottle as it is a concentrated substance! You can test the smell by applying a small amount of it to a strip of paper or a small amount of warm water. Evaluate the true smell only in the final product!
Due to the risk of contamination, all fragrance sales are final. As such, we suggest that you test smaller sizes.
